As Kermit the Frog famously crooned, “It’s not easy being green.” The problem with the term “green” (at least in the USA) is, as New York Times columnist and author Thomas Friedman said recently, “Climate change was presented as a political issue, and because of that there had to be sides… the definition [of the term ‘green’] was imposed by its opponents… they [conservative media pundits] named green as liberal, tree-hugging, sissy, girlie-man, unpatriotic, vaguely European."

Right before the Passover Jewish holiday there was a hilarious piece published on Facebook called, “Moses is departing Egypt: A Facebook Haggadah.” Some very clever people re-wrote the story of Passover (told at ceremonial dinners called Seders) in “Facebook-ese.” In other words, the whole story of the Jewish people’s departure from Egypt is told as status updates, comments on status updates, new friend connections, virtual gifts passed between the parties, quizzes and “Random notes about me” as posted by God. If you’re Jewish and a Facebook hound it’s a real ROFLMAO experience.
